Virtual Kennel Club (VKC) Favorite Breed Poll

What’s your favorite breed of dog?  We know there are hundreds and hundreds of breeds, all of which are wonderful in their own way.  But, of course, there is only one Enrico Genosse to make the VKC Dogs.  So we’ve narrowed down the list a bit and have 22 breeds for you to choose from.  This VKC Favorite Breed Poll will determine which breed of dog Enrico will make next as a VKC Dog.

In the past, both with the VKC Breed Election and the VKC Mutt Contest, all of the choices were there for you to see in one place.  But this time, we thought it might be a bit more interesting for you to go to several locations in order to see them all.

You can used the above Landmarks to go to each of the parks to see the breeds and to vote for your favorite.

When you find the breed of your choice, simply click its picture to vote for that breed.  Remember that you only have one vote.  You can change your vote at any time and you can click on the pictures of all the breeds if you like, but ONLY your last vote counts.  So visit our parks, see all the choices, and vote for your favorite.  We hope you will enjoy being part of the process of bringing the next breed of VKC Dog into Second Life.  Which one will it be?  Will it be YOUR favorite?

Wow, what a year!

Who knew what was in store for us in 2009… from a tiny little park on crappy mainland with ugly neighbours -  to one of the most beautiful sims in Second Life… talk about moving up in the virtual world!

To say that those initially behind The Canis Beach Dog Park are eternally grateful to Enrico Genosse, is an understatement. He not only welcomed our initial idea and plan, he & the VKC staff were there to help us every step of the way.  I don’t think any of us had an idea how fast we would grow and become the immensely successful park that we are in just 6 short months.

And we’re barely out of the starting gate! 2010 has  SO MUCH in store for those visiting Canis. I wish I could tell you all now, but I can’t ruin the surprises!! All I can say is you will be very happy VKC dog owners

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the VKC Mutt release party! It was a record turnout & we had a fabulous time getting together for such a special event.

Widget seems to be a MAJOR hit with everyone & i think  that the name ‘VKC Mutt’ has been unofficially changed to ‘a Widget’ by all who were in attendance.

The COOLEST part of the day were the Widgets that Enrico set out  who would shout out a persons name and jump into their inventory! How cool is that! Leave it to Enrico to come up with something so wonderful.

We’ll post the winners of the free drawing, tonite. because of the large number of people in attendance, we wanted to give everyone who couldn’t get in, a chance to send in their notecard.

a VKC Polar Bear!!!!!

After announcing the winner of the mutt contest, Enrico Genosse surprised  us all with with a preview of a special edition VKC Polar Bear! It’s huge!

For those of you who missed it, here are a few pics. They should be on sale within the next few days and let me tell you, these bears are UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Well, I can hardly say its winter here in New England.. it was 54F for Thanksgiving and my Petunias are still blooming!!!! I can’t believe it…..

But here at Canis Beach the snow is falling, the pond has frozen over and winter has arrived!

FREE skates are by the pond for those who would like to spend some time skating. The skates have a skating AO built right in!  Or if you want to park it for awhile, there are skating poseballs on the pond.

Our Ozimal Beta Bunnies are loving the snow, as are the VKC dogs. I have snow drifts around the sim and they seem to like to hide in them.
